For a long time after it came into existance , PVC was considered to be a useless Polymer as it would degrade to a dirty, hard and and horny substance on heating. And about which, it was really difficult to think of any usage. Thanks to the additives like ''heat Stabilisers'' and'' plasticisers'' after the invent of which processing of PVC and its conversion into some usable forms and shapes could become feasible.Soon more and more chemicals joined the list of additives which changed the PVC scenario dramatically pushing its use in a host of applications ranging from application as hard as rigid pipes or profiles to as soft as food wraps or hand gloves.
Today the situation is that it is really difficult to pin point an area where PVC does not find an application. |
