>> >> Polymer blends/Alloys/Composites
The primary requirement for production of polymer blends, alloys and composites is to induce an adequate adhesion between two dissimilar materials may it be a blend of two dissimilar polymers e.g. Nylon and PP or a reinforcement for a polymer with a substrate of dissimilar nature e.g. Glass fiber reinforced Nylon.
Here Synergy Group’s synobond range of products play their role and provide the desired solution. Synobond products are maleic anhydride grafted polyolefins which by virtue of their bifuntionality function to couple the two dissimilar materials ending up with products having enhanced mechanical properties.
Synobond coupling agents are first tumble mixed with the polymers (or polymer with reinforcements) in appropriate proportion and melt mixed in kneaders or twin screw extruders to get the desired blend or reinforced material.
The polymer blends/reinforcements so obtained are then shaped into desired articles through appropriate conversion techniques, usually an injection moulding process.
